Privacy Policy

FinCampX (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a personal and shared expense-tracking app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It’s written to match what the app actually does, not a template — if something here looks wrong, tell us at pablo@campina.dev.
1. Who controls this data
The data controller is [legal name], [address], Portugal. Contact: pablo@campina.dev.
2. Information we collect
Account information. Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Apple and choose to share it.
Financial data you enter. Expenses, incomes, budgets, categories, merchant names, account balances and reconciliations, and any shared-expense or settlement data you and a linked partner add. This powers the app’s core features — Real Cash, Safe Daily Budget, expense splitting, and reports.
Partner and invite data. If you link a partner or invite someone, we store the request, its status, and the invite codes involved.
Push notification token. A device identifier used only to deliver the notifications you’ve turned on.
Weekly Report preference and address. If you turn it on, the email address it’s sent to.
Waitlist signups. If you join the waitlist on this site, we store the email address you gave us and when you gave it, so we can invite you.
Purchases. Subscription status and receipts are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details.
3. What we don’t collect
No analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting or tracking service runs in this app or on this site. We don’t know how you use the app beyond what’s described above.
4. The AI assistant is optional, and never sees our servers
If you turn on the in-app assistant, you supply your own API key for the provider you choose (Anthropic, OpenAI, or a model you run yourself via Ollama). Requests go directly from your iPhone to that provider — FinCampX’s own servers are never in that path and never see the conversation.
5. Data that stays on your device
Calendar access (for Calendar Sync) and Face ID are used entirely on-device through Apple’s own frameworks (EventKit, LocalAuthentication) — neither sends anything to us.
6. Who else processes this data
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and server functions.
- Resend — delivers transactional email (partner invites, the Weekly Report).
- Apple — push notifications (APNs), Sign in with Apple, iCloud Keychain (for the assistant key, if you use one), and subscription payments.
- Netlify — hosts this website.
Each is bound to use this data only to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes.
7. Legal basis and retention
We process your account and financial data to perform our contract with you (providing the app) and, for the Weekly Report and any announcements, with your consent. We keep it for as long as your account is active, and delete it when you delete your account (see below).
8. Deleting your account
Delete your account any time from More → Settings → Delete account. This removes your personal data immediately. If you have a linked partner, any expense you shared with them becomes theirs rather than disappearing from their records — the same rule that applies when you unlink a partner without deleting your account.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict some of our processing. Contact us at pablo@campina.dev to exercise any of these. If you’re in the EU/EEA, you can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD.
10. International transfers
Our processors above may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens outside the EU/EEA, it’s covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
11. Age
FinCampX is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We’ll update the date at the top of this page whenever this changes, and post the new version here.
